One-Day Opportunities

VolunteeringCharles E. Smith Life Communities has volunteer opportunities for everyone, including for people who have hectic schedules but would still like to help out...if only for a day.

Holidays

Holidays are very special because of the traditions associated with them. But, for some of our residents whose families are not nearby to celebrate with them, this can also be a time of sadness. Please email Monica Mayer, Manager of Volunteers for more information about escorting residents to/from services and/or holiday meals on the following holidays:

Passover • Easter • Rosh Hashanah • Yom Kippur • Thanksgiving • Christmas

Clubs, Groups, and Corporate Team-building

Is your club, group, or office department looking to make a difference? Special one-day visits can be arranged with the following criteria in mind:

DATE: Please contact us at least 1 month in advance of your preferred date.

TIME: Please block a 1-2 hour window for your visit (best times are between 10 am-noon or 1-5 pm).

SIZE: The ideal group is 10 people or less. We can accommodate up to 20 but may need to split the group up.

INTENT: Please tell us if you want to plan the activity/event or if you want us to plan something with your group leader. We are happy to share ideas with you or let you come up with something fun! Gatherings can occur for a party/holiday, to play a group game/ice breaker, do a craft/garden project…the ideas are endless!

To discuss your visit, please contact the Volunteer Department.
