The mission of the Hebrew Home of Greater Washington is to provide quality care that respects Jewish values, particularly to those in greatest need. We are a local not-for-profit organization, and our doors are open to all in the community.

Families in the Washington, DC area have depended on us for over 100 years. They know that if the need should ever arise, the Hebrew Home will be there to provide older adults with excellent nursing care, a warm and nurturing environment, and a respect for Jewish values.

We cannot do this without your support. Your charitable contributions help offset decreasing government reimbursements and the rising cost of care. Endowed funds and bequests ensure our future security. You can play an important role.

Ongoing Critical Needs

We continue to rely on generous support from the community for:

  • Resident care. Your unrestricted support helps us fulfill our mission.

  • Building, changing, and adapting our facilities and programs. Your support enables us to transform service delivery.

  • Endowment for a secure future. Your support for the long term is essential.
