Moving In

Whether you are moving to Ring House or Landow House, rest assured that our team is dedicated to making the entire experience as smooth and free of stress as possible.

It starts with scheduling a tour with one of our marketing coordinators. You may want to join us for a meal or an activity, and we are happy to extend an invitation.

  • For Ring House, call Jennie Feldmann, 301.816.5012
  • For Landow House, call Sandy Levin, 301.816.5050

For your convenience, please download floor plans and an application:
Ring House / Landow House

Once you have selected an apartment, the next step is to submit an application form and an application fee, if applicable. We can provide information about moving companies, furniture rental, downsizing and organization companies, and, if needed, home care aides—whatever will help you with this important transition.

Your marketing coordinator will schedule a time for you to sign the lease, pay fees, and schedule your actual date of arrival. On move-in day, the property manager will assist you in reserving an elevator and loading dock; our social worker will provide an orientation, answer questions, and demonstrate how your personal emergency-call pendant works.

As you settle into your new home, the social worker will introduce you to your new neighbors, and you will receive an invitation to the Newcomers Group. Before you know it, you'll no longer be a newcomer, but a special member of the Charles E. Smith Life Communities family.
