COURSE!
The race starts and ends on East Jefferson Street at Federal Plaza in Rockville. We will have lots of after-race activities for the family. The USATF-certified 10k course follows Montrose Road to Tower Oaks Blvd., and continues along Preserve Parkway to Wootton Parkway. The turnaround is on Wootton Parkway. The 5k follows a similar route. The fun run is open to all runners - young and old. Every participant receives a long-sleeve t-shirt and fun run participants receive a finisher's medal.
The 10k and 5k will begin at 8:30 am; fun run at 8:45 am. An awards ceremony will be held at approximately 9:30 am.
Timing System: Montgomery County Road Runners will time the race.
PRIZES
Cash prizes and medals will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place male and female finishers in the 10k and 5k and to the masters 10k 1st place male and female finishers. Awards will be given to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place age-group winners as follows: 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. All fun run participants will receive a finisher's medal.
PARKING
Complimentary parking is available at Federal Plaza. Please do not park in front of Panera Bread.
PACKET PICK-UP
Packet Pick-Up will be held at Potomac River Running Rockville Town Square, 115 S. Gibbs Street, Rockville, MD 20850 (Phone: 301-251-1290) on Saturday, October 2, 11:00 am - 5:00 pm.
