Electronic Notification System

We are pleased to offer a free service to families:  an electronic notification system.  This new service enables you to receive messages regarding weather situations, power outages or other similar occurences affecting our campus.  The electronic notification system allows you to choose text, voice or e-mail messages. Sign-up is voluntary and complimentary, and we encourage you to participate.

Who can register for the electronic notification system?

  • Anyone in the family of a resident in any Charles E. Smith Life Communities facility, or care providers engaged by the resident or family, may register – you need not be the primary contact.  More than one person in a family may sign up.  We especially encourage family members who live locally to sign up, as these messges may affect you more directly.

What do I need to know about opting-in?

  • Read and accept the brief disclaimer statement, and complete all of the fields on the registration form.  Register now.
  • When you complete the form, you will get an e-mail to confirm your Opt-in.  You will need to respond to this message to complete your registration.  Please save the confirmation e-mail as it includes instructions to keep your contact information current or to opt out of the system if your family member no longer resides here.
  • Charles E. Smith Life Communities is not responsible for updating your information or changing your Opt-in/Opt-out status; this is a subscriber responsibility.

How will I know I have signed up correctly?

  • We will periodically send messages so that you can see you are properly signed up.

We are hoping that 100% of our families will sign up for this free service.  Register now.
