READ OTHER PORTRAITS | HEBREW HOME MARKS 40 YEARS IN ROCKVILLE On May 20, 1969, the National Guard and Red Cross helped move 170 elderly residents from our Spring Road building to the new Wasserman Residence on Montrose Road, as a "civic action support mission." Two buses, an ambulance, drivers, dispatchers and medical corpsmen, with staff, volunteers and the Red Cross assisting, completed the move in one morning. It was this move that made our enormous growth and expansion possible. Now, 1,000 seniors make our campus their home, and our range of services extends from independent living to assisted living, rehab, medical care and long-term care. |
