Smart Moves Wellness Club: Landow House


Our goals will help you achieve maximum health.

Wellness Coaching: Monday, 1-2:00 pm & Friday, 11:00 am-Noon
Fitness Center Hours: Monday-Sunday, 4-5 pm

WE HAVE THREE GOALS:

#1 - Fitness: Improve physical health to increase quality of life.

  • Aerobic exercise classes: Focus on strength, balance, relaxation and dancing!
  • Walk-n-Talk Walking Club: Walk the halls or go outside to get some sun. Either way, stay fit while chatting with friends.
  • Fitness Center Services: Gain access to exercise equipment, blood pressure and the weight scale.
  • Senior Fitness Tests: Compare lower and upper body strength, flexibility and endurance with others your age.

#2 - Health Education: Increase knowledge of health risks and preventive lifestyle habits.

  • Healthy Learning Lectures: We offer monthly discussions by experts that provide current information on relevant health topics such as quality sleep and fall prevention.
  • Get Thinking: Memory & Cognition Class:  A periodic 8-week course involving lessons, activities, and take home practice problems.
  • "Tune-up” Clinics: Have your walker, wheelchair, or other mobility device cleaned while getting a free adjustment.
  • Wellness Corner: Educate yourself with relevant research articles, health brochures and handouts.

#3 - Well-being: Achieve a balanced and well-rounded life.

  • Wellness Coaching:  Meet with our Wellness Coordinator during office hours to go over exercises, routines, and more.
  • Wellness Events:  Participate in exciting events: dances, sports, music, travel, health fairs and more!

  • Body Strengthening with Chelsea:  Monday 10:00-11:00 am
  • Fitness with Karen:  Tuesday, 10:00-11:00 am; 2nd Floor 
  • Exercise with Dominique:  Wednesday, 10:00-11:00 am
  • Fitness Fun with Chelsea:  Thursday, 10:15-11:00 pm 
  • Dancing with Sue*:  Thursday, 1:45-2:45 pm; Lobby
  • Body Toning Video:  Friday, 10:15-11:00; 2nd Floor
  • "Walk-n-Talk" Walking Club*:  Friday, 9:45-10:30 am; Meet in the lobby.
